Slovakia: programme of activities

To my 1rB Batxillerat students at IES Marina: this is the programme of activites for our stay in Slovakia:

1st day: Sightseeing around the town of Martin: galleries, museums, shops...

2nd day: Hiking tour to Sutovsky waterfall (about one hour hiking)

3rd day: Trip to High Tatras (Strbske Lake and Popradske Lake) (about 2 hours hiking) and visit to typical Slovak villages

4th day: Visit to Oravsky Castle + Besenova thermal park

5th day: Spending a day at Martin school with their students (playing games: volleyball, footbal, basketball), visit to the school observatory; spending the time together with students who learn Spanish

6th day: Shopping and sightseeing (Slovak parents’ day)

Remember that the weather in May is very nice in Slovakia, with temperatures of about 20-24 degrees. You should wear comfortable clothes: a jacket, jeans, T-shirts, sweaters, pole-neck sweaters, swimming costumes or trunks, trainers… Do not forget to take an umbrella or raincoat.

Currency: as you already know, it is the Slovak crown (SK). 1 Euro is about 33-34 SK, and in Slovakia everything is cheaper for people who have Euros comparing with the prices in their own country.
